Snapping pictures

This site is a way to harness my relative obsession with snapping pictures of everything I see and find some form of a "voice" (sorry for the mouthful here). Sometimes I leave the house with the camera in hand and just walk around to see if anything cool comes along the way. Sometimes if I don't have the camera with me and I notice something interesting, I then return there to take a picture of it.
I shoot with a Canon 10D (hoping to one of these days to upgrade to Canon 50D) and primarily use the wide-angle Canon EF 17-40, sometimes substituting for the Canon EF 24-85.

I seek to improve as a photographer, so any comments and constructive criticism are more than welcomed here.
